Express by B.T. Express 1975

- On double CD Do IT ('Til You're Satisfied) - Non-Stop 1974/1975 Coast to Coast Music, Inc. - 1990 Unidisc Productions Int'l. Ltd. - SPLK2-8026

Originally formed as the King Davis House Rockers in 1972, this Brooklyn-based septet underwent several name changes, including the Madison Street Express and the Brothers Trucking, before finally settling on the above. Bill Risbrook (saxophone, vocals), his brother Louis (bass, organ), Carlos Ward   (saxophone, woodwind), Richard Thompson (lead guitar, vocals), Dennis Rowe (congas), Terrell Woods (drums) and Barbara Joyce Lomas (vocals) had two gold discs with their first hits, 'Do It ('Til You're Satisfied)' (1974) and 'Express' (1975). Although the group continued to enjoy consistent chart success, they suffered from the facelessness that bedevilled many funk and disco outfits. Despite personnel changes, their later releases achieved little musically.
