Son of Shaft by the Bar-Kays. Son of Shaft ??? Yeah! On CD The best of Bar-Kays (Stax records, 1992)

Four members of the band formed in 1966, in Memphis, (TN), ere killed in a 1967 plane crash along with Otis Redding, Guitarist Jimmy King, organist Ronnie Caldwell, drummer Carl
Cunningham, and saxist Phalon Jones perished with Redding, leaving trumpeter Ben Cauley and bassist James Alexander to re-form the group

They played with Isaac Hayes. Later recordings are funky inspired: "Shake your rump to the funk" and "Let's have some fun", with an evident Funkadelic influence.
